MIA board member Bill Howard went home to be with Jesus on April 17, 2019. Bob asked him to be on the board when MIA was formed in 2001. Both Bob and Bill went to Africa in 1999 for the first time. This gentle man of God traveled there another 15 or 20 times. He was one of a kind.

Mercy In Action International is a Christian ministry where Jesus is proclaimed as Lord. We have a passion for both the lost and the down and out. This includes adults and children in remote and dangerous areas of East Africa where very few others go.Our Directors
Founded in 2001 by Bob and Ruby Nell Hoke. Mercy in Action International is governed by a board of directors of which all board members and administrative staff donate their time, and pay 100% of all Mercy in Action International ministry travel expenses. This includes Bob & Ruby's twice-a-year trips to East Africa. This allows for ministry overhead expenses to average between 2-3%.

At 91+ years old, Jeannine Droullard has served as MIA's office administrator since its inception. She loves Jesus and loves His little ones. Full of life and encouragement, Jeannine loves to connect sponsors with children in need. You can reach her:
